It's 2006, dammit! Where's my flying car? Where's my jetpack? Why can't I transport to New Delhi for lunch? Why aren't we in space? Why is 2001: A Space Odyssey not actually happening?

I like the internets, I do. I like small cell phones and big TVs. But...something in me longs for the big giant promises of the tons of SF books I've read. Space Travel. INtelligent computers. Robots. Beaming technology.
